This Privacy Policy explains how AI Shorts Studio (aishorts.studio, "we") collects, uses and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: email address, name and profile image (from Google or GitHub if you sign in with them), and a hashed password if you use email sign-in.
• Content data: prompts, uploaded reference images and files, and the images and videos you generate.
• Transaction data: credit balance and history, orders and payment status (card details are handled by the payment provider, not by us).
• Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, browser, device type and approximate location derived from IP address.

2. Account & Sign-in

We use your account data to authenticate you via email and password, Google (including Google One Tap) or GitHub. When you use Google or GitHub, we receive only the basic profile information that provider shares (name, email, avatar).

3. How We Use Information

To provide and operate the Service, process generations and credits, process payments, moderate content, prevent abuse (such as repeated free-credit claims), provide support, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Storage of Generated Content

Generated images and videos and uploaded reference files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage and served via our media domain. Account and transaction records are stored in our database.

5. Third-Party Processors

To generate content, your prompts and reference files are sent to third-party AI model providers to run models such as Seedance, MiniMax, Wan, Veo and GPT Image. Other processors include Cloudflare (storage), our payment providers, our email provider for transactional emails, and the analytics tools listed below. Each processes data only as needed for its function.

Cross-border data transfer

AI Shorts Studio is operated by AI Shorts Studio. Your data may be stored and processed outside your country of residence: generated media and uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2, and prompts and reference files are processed by third-party AI model providers. These countries may have data protection laws different from your own. We take reasonable safeguards for such transfers, including transmitting data over encrypted connections, sharing only the data needed for each function, and using providers that maintain their own data protection commitments. By using the Service, you acknowledge these transfers.

6. Analytics & Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We use analytics tools — Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Plausible — to understand how the Service is used. Clarity may record anonymised session interactions. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, Creem or PayPal (as shown at checkout). These providers receive your payment details directly under their own privacy policies; we receive only order and payment status information.

8. Data Retention

• Account and transaction data: kept while your account is active, and transaction records as required by law.
• Generated media: kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after account deletion.
• Analytics data: retained according to each analytics provider's settings.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls and hashed passwords to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the minimum age described in our Terms of Service.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will reflect changes.
